In previous years, the costs of the website have been borne by the funds remaining from annual party ticket prices. Ron Forbess tells me that those remaining funds have now been reduced to $38.52. The lack of annual parties in 2020-2022 plus the lack of income from the 2023 pot-luck picnic require that some of the 2023 website costs be recovered from active hikers. Website costs are in three parts, payable at different times and frequencies.
Total costs due in 2023 are $135.99 + $19.99 - $38.52 = $117.46. We currently have ~35 active hikers. Therefore, we are asking for $5.00 from each active hiker. Any surplus will carry over to contribute toward next year's costs. 2024 costs will be somewhat less at $44.97 + $19.99 = $64.96. |
