Directions to Trailhead: From PCH (SR-1) turn North on Topanga Canyon Blvd. After 4.7 miles turn right on Entrada Road. From the Ventura Freeway exit Topanga Canyon Blvd East. After 7.9 miles turn left on Entrada Road. Once on Entrada Road turn left at every street intersection, 1.1 miles to the entrance of Topanga State Park (Trippet Ranch). There is a fee for parking. Restrooms at the parking lot.
The Hike: Our hike will start at the park entrance near Trippet Ranch. We hike on the Santa Ynez Ridge Trail (fire road) south overlooking Trailer Canyon at first, then Santa Ynez Canyon with its reservoir and all of the housing development, reaching finally Parker Mesa which overlooks Los Liones Canyon stretching almost to the ocean. Return is the way we came.
