Palo Comado Canyon

Meet at 9:00 am for start at 9:30 am
Directions to Trailhead: Go west on the Ventura (Hwy 101) Freeway from the San Diego (405) Freeway or from the Las Virgenes (Malibu Canyon) Road. Exit at Chesebro Road, and turn right. At the bottom, turn right and follow the narrow road (be alert for hidden oncoming traffic) to the entrance to the park (address: 5792 Chesebro Road, Agoura, CA). Follow the park road back to the parking lot (don't park at the entrance lot). Toilets are available at the parking lot.
Principal Hike: From the parking lot go North on the Modelo trail to the T-junction, at the top of the hill, with the Palo Comado Canyon Trail. Turn left. Follow the Palo Comado Canyon Trail westerly.
For Rabbits: Follow the Palo Camado Trail to Simi Peak and return the same way for approximately 11 miles RT.
For Others: There are many options available. Hike out the Palo Comado Canyon Trail to the Ranch Center Trail and return, approximately 6 miles RT. Or, refer to the map and choose any of the many options available, a few of which we have not hiked.
Maps will be provided at the trailhead.
Refreshments will be served at the table under the Oak tree near the parking lot.
