Cheeseboro and Palo Comado Canyons

Distance: Approximately 9 mi. RT; Elevation gain: 500 ft. (less or more, depending on the trail taken)
Directions to Trailhead: Go west on the Ventura (Hwy 101) Freeway from the San Diego (405) Freeway or from the Las Virgenes (Malibu Canyon) Road. Exit at Cheeseboro Road, and go right. At the bottom turn right and follow the narrow road (be alert for hidden oncoming traffic) to the entrance to the park (address: 5792 Chesebro Road, Agoura, CA). Follow park road back to the parking lot (don't park at the entrance lot.) Toilets are available at the parking lot. Cheeseboro and Palo Comado Canyon
The Hike: The basic hike makes a loop: Follow Cheeseboro Canyon Trail north to Sheep Corral Trail, then west on Sheep Corral Trail to Palo Comado Trail, and south on Palo Comado Trail to Cheeseboro Canyon Trail. Many other options exist. See Cheeseboro Canyon Trail Map for trail options.
